To honor hip-hop’s 50th anniversary coming to a close and welcome back Nicki Minaj 😘 I’ve retired the 80s and 90s and 00s Hip-Hop playlists and combined them into Hip-Hop Evolution which I’ve updated to include new artists that have emerged since I finished the 00s evolution mix back in 2019 and present a broader overview, mainly of the 10s - much of which I was late to favorite cause I was mostly just listening to Wild Nothing on repeat.

And then next I’ll dig further into each era and sub, in the spirit of Crunk and Conscious Hip-Hop.

Also, I watched The Choice Is Yours a few weeks back which inspired me to do the refresh. Dres is a cool dude and deserves better than the staged conflict in this but I digress…
